| Step II: Office Layout Considerations |
|
To have a clean, well-organized, and ergonomic work environment for your staff and a pleasant treatment experience for your patients, pre-planning is vital. Do involve a computer consultant when laying out your office! There are a wide variety of ways that your office can be laid out (see sample pictures below). You will need to have certain things placed in the walls and floors in order to get cameras and other items connected to your computers. Never expose cables and wires in the treatment area, which is a safety hazard. It is important to have your office wired for the right material. Breaking into walls is an extra expense that can be eliminated by pre-planning. In general we do not recommend using wireless networks because they are less reliable. You don't have time to troubleshoot intermittent connection problems in the midst of your operation.
